Furzedown Safer Neighbourhood Panel

About the Panel

Resident voice, transparent local action and partnership working.

About the Panel

Resident voice at the heart of local community safety.

The Furzedown Safer Neighbourhood Panel gives residents a place to raise concerns, hear from local policing and partners, help shape priorities and follow what happens next.

“A strong community begins with good communication, listening to one another and ensuring every resident feels informed, valued, heard and safe.”

Furzedown is more than just the place where we live — it is our home, our neighbourhood and a community we all share. It is shaped by the people who live here, the relationships between neighbours, our local schools, businesses, faith groups, community organisations and the public services that support the area.

The Furzedown Safer Neighbourhood Panel brings residents, local police, councillors and community-safety partners together to focus on the issues that matter most locally. It gives residents a clear route to raise concerns, understand local crime trends, hear directly from key partners and help influence the priorities that shape neighbourhood policing and community-safety activity.

The Panel also works to strengthen communication between residents and local services, support crime-prevention activity, promote community involvement and help ensure local concerns are raised with the right organisations.

Furzedown is strongest when people feel connected, informed and confident that their voices matter. By sharing information, reporting concerns, attending meetings and looking out for one another, we can all help keep Furzedown safe, welcoming and connected.

What we do

Listen to residents, identify and review local safety priorities, ask questions of partners, share information and create a public route for follow-up.

What we do not do

We are not an emergency service and we do not investigate crime. Crime and immediate risks must be reported through the correct police or Council route.
